Chelsea and Westminster Hospital SiteWe have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 physiotherapist to join the orthopaedic therapy team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. This is a fixed term contract opportunity for 9 months. We are a busy team caring for elective and trauma patients.

You will have prior experience working in a variety of acute settings inclusive of acute orthopaedics. Experience in respiratory physiotherapy is also essential. The post holder will manage a clinical caseload, support the team with more complex cases and has supervisory and teaching responsibilities.

Main duties of the job

They will be a role model for expert clinical care, and lead on specific projects / service developments and management functions asdelegated by the Band 7 therapist or Clinical Lead Therapist.

They will role model the identified Trust values at all times.

The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner in providing physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management to their own designated caseload of patients and to maintain up to date physiotherapy records.

They will evidence based principles and current best practise to assess, plan, implement and evaluate physiotherapy interventions.

The post holder will provide supervision, teaching and support to more junior staff, therapy assistants and students on placement.

The post holder is expected to actively participate in the 5 in 7 weekend rota and respiratory on-call rota
