Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join ourPeople and Organisational Development team, working alongside the Chief People Officer team to coordinate and embed all elements of the NHS People Promise within Chelwest with a focus on improving staff experience and retention.

As a People Promise Manager, the post holder will work with a number of teams across several work streams within Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Foundation Trust and also with colleagues in the same role in the other three Trusts in the North West London Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) and the wider ICS (Integrated Care System).

Main duties of the job

As People Promise Manager, the post holder will be responsible for coordinating and embedding all elements of the NHS People Promise and be the driving force behind the delivery of the People Plan within the organisation. They will work collaboratively across the organisation, work closely with their counterparts across the Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) and ICS (Integrated Care Systems) and with other designated People Promise Managers to maximise opportunities to retain staff across the NHS.

The People Promise Manager will manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with significant organisational and system-wide implications, requiring strong leadership, decision-making, and relationship management skills. They will have end-to-end responsibility for project lifecycle management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring alignment with strategic workforce objectives. They will operate as a delivery enabler to others providing expertise, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring programme/project success through collaboration, innovation, and robust governance processes.
