Job summary
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated and articulate Lead Nurse in infection prevention & control who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to influence others. You must have the ability to work on your own initiative undertaking the day to day management of your clinical areas and providing effective infection control leadership through the Trust. You must have commitment to influence change and drive progress in the challenging and changing speciality of infection prevention and control.
Main duties of the job
Collaboratively work as integral member of The Infection Prevention and Control Team in providing an infection prevention and control service to the Trust across all sites including the community, in reducing the incidence of healthcare associated infections.
Provide a proactive approach to prevention, surveillance, investigation, and control of infection. This will include the review, formulation, implementation and education of evidence based infection control practices.
Provide leadership to the Infection Prevention and Control team, develop and identify the learning needs of the Infection Control Link Staff in liaison with the Director of Infection Prevention & Control.
