Job summary
The Temporary Staffing Payroll Officer will oversee the payroll function for all Staff Bank Members
The post holder will have key responsibility for providing an effective, reliable, high quality, timely and responsive basic payroll advisory service. This will include managing tight deadline, time management and data quality assurance. They will also be required to support the Temporary Staffing Team Leader / Temporary Staffing Manager to review effectiveness of processes and policies.
Main duties of the job
- To provide day to day support for bank staff in terms of guidance and investigating queries and problem solving
- Access to ESR system to answer questions as they arise.
- Act as frontline response to questions from staff
- Providing a triage point and working jointly with our payroll service provider
- Submit weekly pension/payroll data returns directly to our payroll provider.
- Create and update bank staff upgrades, additional assignments and terminations
- Identify and escalate system errors as required to the Temporary Staffing Team Leader
- To be responsible for assigning, inputting changes, variations and leavers are uploaded to the ESR system then relayed to payroll for actioning
- To respond to enquiries on all aspects of changes to contract, leavers, giving advice where appropriate, taking messages as necessary and responding in a courteous, proactive, helpful manner. Provide empathy when communicating to service users in distress.
- Providing support, advice and guidance by overseeing the central mailbox
- To have a good working knowledge of Electronic Staff Records and providing guidance to managers in the understanding of the ESR system and completion of change & leaver process for bank
- To work closely with other Temporary Staff Team members
- Provide support, advice and guidance to other Temporary Staff Team members
- Daily usage of 3 temporary staffing platform Healthroster, Bank Staff and Patchwork
