Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Communications Officer (Imperial College Health Partners)

The closing date is 02 April 2026

Job summary

Join Imperial College Health Partners and contribute to delivery of our mission to improve population health in North West London. As our Communications Officer, you will play a central role in delivering ICHP's corporate communications strategy through content production, digital channel management, and event delivery.

Main duties of the job

The Communications Officer is a new role within Imperial College Health Partner's (ICHP) Corporate Affairs Directorate, reporting to the Head of Communications and Corporate Affairs as a Fixed Term Opportunity until March 2027. The postholder will play a central role in delivering ICHP's corporate communications strategy through content production, digital channel management, and event delivery.

This is a delivery-focused role, responsible for producing high-quality written and digital content, supporting the planning and promotion of events, and coordinating day-to-day communications activity across the organisation. This role will work closely with portfolio colleagues to identify and develop compelling stories that demonstrate the impact and value of ICHP's work across North West London.

This role requires strong writing ability, excellent organisational skills, and confidence in working across multiple priorities. It is well suited to someone looking to build their career in communications within a complex health and innovation environment, with opportunities to gain experience across corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, and impact storytelling.

It's an exciting time to join ICHP as we launch our new three-year strategy, with communications and engagement playing a pivotal role in its delivery.

About us

Imperial College Health Partners is a partnership organisation bringing together NHS providers of healthcare services across our local Integrated Care System and leading universities across North West London (NWL). We are also the designated health innovation network (HIN) for NWL, one of 15 across England, and the region's innovation partner.

The NWL Research & Innovation Board - made up of senior representatives from across all ICS organisations, academic institutions, and R&I bodies - has established that, to have more impact through innovation, the work we undertake together needs to focus on a smaller number of priorities. Working collaboratively on these priorities, aligned with the wider NW London strategy, is where collective effort can lead to bigger gains. This defined and deliberate portfolio of innovation projects are known as the NWL Missions. These have been identified as:

Cardio-renal metabolic conditions

Supporting children and young people's mental health

Obesity

ICHP facilitates the coordination and collaboration of this Mission-led model. We're in a unique position in the sector, having been created by and for the NHS to support exactly this kind of complex change across the health and care sector, with a purpose to innovate through collaboration for a healthier population.
