We are looking to recruit a number of skilled Bank Mental Health Support Workers to support our Patients with Mental Health needs - the role will primarily be to provide Enhanced engagement and observations of patients with Mental Health needs in an Acute Medical/Surgical/Maternity/Paediatric setting
You will also need excellent engagement, de-escalation and communication skills - you should also have a good knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
This is a very challenging role, and you will need to be confident, compassionate, flexible and willing to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing medical environment.
It is banded at a Band 4 as we only want to attract and employ the very best who are able to work with minimal supervision.
To apply you will need to have significant previous experience of working in a Mental Health setting and/or either a health based Degree qualification such as a Psychology Degree with the intention of applying to a Clinical Psychology Course, or be in 2nd/3rd Year of your Mental Health Nursing Degree course.
