Static Occupational Therapist - Medical Rehabilitation Team

Job summary
The post holder will be considered a senior clinical staff and be part of the Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation Therapy Team.
The post holder will need to have significant clinical experience, provide advance clinical expertise to their team and more junior staff, and coordinate and deliver high quality care, as well as work as an autonomous practitioner in providing Occupational therapy assessment, treatment and management to own caseload of patients. There will be also opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and skills required to work across the older adult pathway.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a role model for expert clinical care, and lead on specific projects / service developments and management functions as delegated by the Band 7 or Clinical Lead Therapist. They will role model the Trust values at all times and follow all Trust and Department policies and procedures.
The post holder will provide supervision, in-service training, teaching and support to more junior staff, therapy assistants and students on placement.
The Post holder will actively be part of a 7-day service rota, which will include weekend and Bank Holiday cover as required.
