Job summary
  We have a Senior Clinical Fellow post available within the Paediatric Emergency Medicine team.
 The post holder will support the current PEM consultant as part of the recently established PEM team. The team have been central in developing an acute paediatric pathway with real potential for further quality improvement projects.
  Main duties of the job
  Role Responsibilities
 - Provide day to day support on site in the Paediatric Emergency Department- Integral member of the paediatric resuscitation team- Participate in the out of hours rotas- Contribute to the departmental and undergraduate teaching programme including simulation- Participate and be creative in the audit/research programme of the department

  The Emergency Department (ED) at West Middlesex Hospital sees 55,000 patients a year of which approximately 30% of these are children, providing the service to a large urban population.
 The dedicated Paediatric Emergency Department and the adjoining UCC, is open 24/7, which treats over 34,000 children per year with 18,000 being referred to PED.

Our department is a 9 bedded space, including an HDU space, a mental health room, a separate isolation room and a paediatric dedicated bay in the 4 bedded resuscitation area.
 There is a newly appointed Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant team who is dedicated solely to the Paediatric Emergency Department.
 As such we are looking for an enthusiastic Paediatric Senior Clinical Fellow with expertise in all aspects of working with emergency care of children to working with the Paediatric and Emergency Team.
