Job summary

The Emergency Medicine and Integrated Care Division are currently looking to appoint an individual with an excellent track record of operational management, people leadership and change management to join an enthusiastic and dynamic senior team. Main duties of the job

The Deputy General Manager role covers a number and range of medical specialties supporting both outpatient and inpatients across the two hospital sites. The Deputy General Manager works with key stakeholders in the multidisciplinary team, including medical, nursing, therapies and administration, to support in the delivery of high quality care and excellent performances. The Deputy General Manager will work closely with and support the General Manager and deputise as required.

To deliver in this role, you will need experience of working within multi-professional teams. You will have a strong proven track record of inclusive leadership and staff management. You will have successful strategic and operational management experience and will demonstrate a high level of organisational skills. This will include a commitment to patient care and performance delivery along with robust financial and workforce experience.

The role covers both elective and non-elective areas including outpatient clinic Referral to Treatment (RTT) performance, cancer pathways management, leadership and performance, and supporting inpatient areas through efficient discharges and hospital flow. The role manages a range of general medicine specialties and also works closely with the acute medicine and emergency medicine departments and leadership.
