Job summary
The department of Endocrinology and Diabetes are looking for a Senior Clinical Fellow (SCF) to cover an IMT3 / Medical Registrar (SpR) training gap. The post holder will be an integral member of the team and broaden the collective skill set who support a multi-disciplinary working approach in Endocrinology and Diabetes care. Specifically the team is looking for a Medical Registrar with skills across General Medicine, and the post would also be suited to someone with an interest in or looking to gain further skills in Endocrinology and Diabetes. Participation in Specialist Endocrinology, Diabetes and Lipid outpatient clinics is encouraged and supported.

Main duties of the job
The main parts of the post involve the care of inpatients under Endocrinology and Diabetes, working in clinic and outpatients, and performing the regular functions of a SpR. You will be part of a Consultant led team of junior doctors and participate in daily Board rounds. There will be daily consultant ward rounds of new patients, with SpR led ward rounds of existing patients. There may be opportunity for interested individuals to carry out supervised outpatient clinics and MDTs. The post holder will participate in the General Medical on calls at SpR level.
