The post is for a 10 PA Consultant in Gender Health, Sexual Health & HIV Medicine. The job is based at TransPlus, 56 Dean Street, Soho.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide assessment and diagnosis of gender dysphoria, in the role of a 'lead clinician' as per Appendix H of the NHSE Service specification: Gender Identity Services for Adults (Non-Surgical Interventions). They will formulate treatment plans for those who meet the diagnostic criteria, as well as providing endorsement for gender affirming surgery where appropriate. They will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of nurses to provide holistic and safe care for the duration of the patient's care under TransPlus. They will regularly attend multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss complex cases and ongoing service delivery. It is anticipated that the post holder will partake in research and audit within TransPlus.
Additionally, the post-holder will, in conjunction with the existing consultants, have responsibilities for providing advice, screening, diagnosis and treatment of patients with STIs, including HIV infection. They will be committed to developing integrated HIV & sexual health services, optimize cost efficiency of the service, implement new technologies and develop new initiatives.
