Job summary

We are seeking Dermatology Consultant who has an expertise in adult and paediatric Dermatology to join the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on permanent basis.

The post holder will work with the existing consultants to expand service provision for secondary care dermatology referrals. The post holder will maintain an active clinical role as a member of the dermatology consultant body delivering excellent dermatology care for the region.

The service is based primarily at West Middlesex University Hospital with some travel to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital .

The successful candidate will possess a recognised Medical degree, MRCP or FRCP and be on the specialist register of the GMC.

The role requires 8.5 PAs per week and carries a 1% on-call Supplement (Cat B).

Main duties of the job

The department provides a full clinical dermatology service for nearly one million people locally, regionally and nationally providing general as well as highly specialist MDT services. The service has also developed an award winning and innovative Teledermatology service which it continues to grow and develop.

The post holder will work closely with the existing consultant team to provide a wide range of dermatology services in partnership with primary care colleagues. The successful candidate will share the day-to-day management of the department with the existing clinicians.
