Job summary
The post holder will be an integral part of the Ambulatory Clinical Nurse Specialist Team, who assists, supports and coordinates the objectives of the IMPaCT Service.
A large part of the role is providing clinical administration and coordination support for patients, families, clinical nurse specialists, the specialist medical team and the wider MDT.
The post holder will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, must be flexible in approach and exercise initiative and demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism.
Main duties of the job
Organise incoming and outgoing mail, both paper and electronic.
Maintenance of patient clinical databases.
Specifically assist the CNS's in coordinating care for a large specialist caseload.
Be a first port of call for incoming calls from patients, relatives, carers, and health professionals and advise or direct calls safely and appropriately.
Provide basic telephone advice and refer on or signpost to appropriate sources of assessment and/or support.
Support and contribute to audit processes, governance, research and service development.
Take an active part in team meetings, MDT's and audits as required.
Participate in stock maintenence and daily equipment checks.
Ability to effectively manage own time and independent workload.
