Job summary

We are looking to recruit a Clerk/Receptionist to cover two busy reception areas and a general office within the Hospital.

The applicant must have excellent and clear communication skills, including verbal and listening skills, as this role is the first point of contact for patients, staff and visitors to the Hospital.

This role is one of a flexible team of staff who support Reception and General Office functions. It is a rewarding and very busy post.

The post is no fixed working pattern, covering between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday on a flexible rota.

Flexibility is key to this role as the team support each other in covering annual leave and sickness absence.

Once fully trained the successful application will be expected to work on their own.

One of the posts will be predominantly based at Liverpool Women's, whilst the others will be at Aintree with occasional travel between Royal, Broadgreen or Liverpool Women's with the use of the staff shuttle bus.

Main duties of the job

The role is on a flexible rota with no fixed pattern to cover office and reception hours between 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday.

We are the first point of contact for visitors, patients, staff, contractors dealing with but not limited to:

Telephone & Email enquiries

Directional enquiries

Accepting and directing deliveries

Liaising with all staff and departments across the Hospital.

Recording, sorting and disposing of lost property.

Creating ID badges and issuing door access.

Using systems to input data for the car park ANPR.

Raise orders and receipt invoices for payment.

Full training will be provided

Note the applicant must be able to meet the 8pm shift rota, and be flexible to assist in covering 6 weeks annual leave.
