Job description

Job responsibilities

The post holder will work across Sexual Health outreach and Community TB programmes, supporting delivery of screening, treatment support and health promotion within a range of community settings.

The role has a particular focus on outreach, including work with populations at increased risk of TB and sexual ill-health. You will also support the Latent TB Programme, working closely with specialist TB services, while maintaining strong links with Sexual Health outreach teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver community-based outreach services across Sexual Health and TB pathways
  • Undertake asymptomatic Sexual Health screening, including venepuncture for BBVs
  • Support TB screening, monitoring and follow-up in community settings
  • Administer immunisations and tests (including BCG and Mantoux) under Patient Specific Directions
  • Carry out patient assessments, observations and treatment adherence monitoring
  • Manage own caseloads, clinics and outreach activity as directed
  • Work independently in community settings, making decisions in line with policy and protocol
  • Actively engage and build trust with vulnerable and marginalised populations
  • Work collaboratively with Sexual Health, TB, voluntary sector and community partners
  • Support service evaluation, audit and continuous improvement
