Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Post Foundation Fellow for 12 months at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a unique and exciting opportunity and is aimed at prospective candidates who have completed the Foundation programme and/or those who are preparing to apply for specialist training programmes.

Main duties of the job

The PFF will spend their time in designated specialties working alongside a range of consultants and their teams in the provision of a high-quality service to patients.

The posts will be available in the Emergency General Surgery Unit (EGSU) on the Aintree University Hospital site. During the clinical post the appointee will be allocated an Educational Supervisor who will provide support and mentoring towards future career aspirations.

The Unit provides high volume emergency general surgery experience as well as exposure to major trauma as part of the Merseyside and Cheshire Major Trauma Centre based at Aintree. There are also opportunities to participate in both the teaching and research activities of the department.
