- To assess and treat patients referred to the team, with both direct/indirectsupervision and guidance from Senior Therapists.- To participate in a range of Ward settings and Outpatient departments.- To assist Senior staff in the organisation of work within a clinical area andsupervising Physiotherapy Assistants, Work Experience Students andHealthcare Cadets
Main duties of the job
- Clinical1.1. To undertake Physiotherapy assessment, clinically diagnose, implementtreatment plans and evaluate care delivery according to health care needs for routinepatients.1.2. To undertake Physiotherapy assessment, clinically diagnose, implementtreatment plans and evaluate care delivery according to health care needs forcomplex patients with the support of the Senior Therapists within the team.1.3. To participate in Clinical Specialist led clinics as required per rotation.1.4. To participate in Physiotherapy rotations as part of the Staff grade rotationprogramme.1.5. To liaise regularly with Senior colleagues regarding management of caseload,treatment progression and on-going care.1.6. To participate in departmental planned out of hours working and the EmergencyOn-Call Rota.

- Clinical Governance- To comply with the Health & Safety Policies of the Trust including attendance atmandatory training sessions as specified by the Trust.- To comply with departmental and organisational policies and procedures.- Ensure all accidents, incidents and hazards are reported and dealt with accordingto Trust requirements.- To comply with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and rules ofprofessional conduct.- To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient treatmentrecords in line with Trust and Departmental Standards of Practice.- To ensure treatments offered to patients are based on best available clinicalevidence.- To comply with the Data Protection Act and Caldicott recommendations.- To participate in Clinical Audit as appropriate in each speciality area under thesupervision of a Senior Therapist.- To gain valid informed consent in line with Trust and departmental policy.- To identify clinical risk within own patient case-load and liaise with SeniorTherapist for appropriate support.- To be responsible for maintaining own competency to practice through CPDactivities and maintain a portfolio which reflects personal development.- Assist with the induction and training of new staff and students assigned to theteam.- To actively participate in the In-Service training programmes
