Job summary
We have various hours for Band 3 Health Care Assistants within our Ophthalmic Team which includes Ophthalmic Outpatients / A&E and Pre-op Assessment Service.
We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly , flexible and reliable individuals who can use initiative.
This is a demanding role and applicants must have experience of working in a hospital setting as a band 2in care.
Our three departments have an extremely high volume of patients and applicants must be ready to deal with a fast paced patient flow.
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, can work alongside a full multi-disciplinary team and can demonstrate passion and empathy to this client group and who wants to make a difference to the quality of our patients lives.
Competency work based training will be given.
Main duties of the job
Our Health Care Assistants play a vital role within our team.
They assist with patient flow within our department by providing ophthalmic assessments to each patient , whilst maintaining patient safety.
They carry out investigative and diagnostic procedures.
They chaperone the patients during their consultations.
They maintain a safe environment for our patients.
