Job summary

We are seeking a Band 8a Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) with strong experience in Clinical Chemistry.

This is a senior role where your knowledge will directly influence patient outcomes, support service development, and contribute to training and quality improvement.

You'll provide expert knowledge, advise clinical teams, and lead a team of clinical nurse specialists to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care.

Main duties of the job

  • Assess patients and plan, implement and evaluate care using specialist clinical knowledge and skills
  • Review patients and provide care in, outpatient and day ward settings
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary approach to patient management
  • Provide education and support to patients, carers and colleagues
  • Lead a team of Clinical nurse specialists.
  • Participate in audit, research and service development within the service.

  • Perform independent specialist assessment of patients to formulate a diagnosis, plan and implement care and arrange ongoing follow up as an advanced practitioner using highly developed specialist clinical knowledge advanced clinical skills.
