Job summary
A exciting band 7 ward nurse manager opportunity for experienced registered nurse has arisen. The post is based on the Broadgreen Hospital site. ward 7 is a 23 bedded reablement ward as part of the reablement hub.
The reablement hub provides rehabilitation and safe discharge planning along with medical care. preventing deconditioning and promoting independence to patients.
We are seeking for someone who is experienced in a senior Leadership and Management role.
You will be expected to meet the trust core standards to ensure safe care for our service users, and their families.
You will be responsible to manage members of staff and have a wide knowledge of both in internal and external assessment criteria.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have management responsibility for the ward/department over the 24hr period, ensuring a high standard of nursing care.
Exercise strong and effective leadership acting as an exemplary role model for the ward/department team.
Maintain adequate staff cover and skill mix on the ward through effective use of staffing rotas
Ensure staff compliance with mandatory training and maintain currentrecords.
Ensure effective communication with patients and their carers.
Liaise with nursing, medical and allied health professional colleagues.
Lead ward team meeting to ensure appropriate information is communicated to all team members
Ensure that the ward participates in maintaining standards relating to clinical governance.
Responds within appropriate timeframes to patient complaints and concerns and ensure outcomes and action plans are implemented and monitored
Responsible for ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
Contribute to planning, monitoring and control of resources.
Support the implementation of the Trusts Strategy for Nursing atward/department level
