This amazing opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Gastroenterology and Hepatology Team at Aintree Hospital and be part of delivery excellent care.

We are seeking someone who is committed to providing excellent direct independent clinical practice. Successful candidates will be expected as part of their daily role to provide direct clinical care through independent assessment and examination of patients, nurse led clinics and inpatient reviews

Candidates will be expected to have (or be working towards) relevant Masters Level Study which includes a minimum of Clinical Examination and Diagnostics and a Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) qualification.

Main duties of the job

To improve the experience and outcomes of care for patients by taking the lead in investigations and treatments prescribed.

To provide a consistent and personalised service by ensuring that thepatients receive the best care, in the best place from the best person or team.

To provide social, emotional and psychological support for patients fromreferral and throughout their treatment.

To deliver expert specialist evidence based care including: development,assessment, planning, implementing, evaluating programmes of evidencebased care for a defined caseload.

To make appropriate referral to consultants/other specialist/members of the multidisciplinary team in primary, secondary or tertiary care settings.

To be aware of risk management issues both locally and nationally anddevelop strategies to address identified issues.

The post holder will always work within the NMC's Code of Professional Conduct.
