Renal Transplant Coordinator (Nurse Specialist)

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Renal Transplant Recipient CoordinatorTeam in a role which is both diverse and rewarding.

We are looking for a highly motivated nurse who can show initiative. The applicantmust have worked as a band 6 or above, preferably with a background in nephrologyor transplantation and have a keen interest in kidney transplantation.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic team within the RenalTransplant Department in a new state of the art hospital

Main duties of the job

The post holder role includes accepting and processing kidney offers for patients onthe kidney transplant waiting list as well as facilitating the work-up of patients toactivate them on to the transplant waiting list. The role involves working closely withother members of the multidisciplinary team, requiring excellent communication skillsand effective teamwork.

The post holder will also be involved in local audits and be expected to keep up to datewith national guidance in transplantation as well as developing practice locally.
