An exciting opportunity for a band 5 nurse to join a dynamic, motivated team of renal nurses who deliver a high standard of specialist outpatient care.
You will be working in a friendly and supportive environment providing comprehensive care and support to dialysis dependent patientsWe currently have 12 stations running 07:00 - midnight on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and 07:00 - 18:30 hours Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.
We also have haemodialysis units at Warrington, Broadgreen and Halton hospital and there may be occasions when you will be asked to support at one of these clinics.
Student nurses in the UK awaiting NMC PIN will be considered.
All other applicants must have a current NMC PIN number included in the application.

Main duties of the job
Set up dialysis machine according to patient prescriptionBand 5 nurses will assess patients before dialysisCalculate and set dialysis prescription on the dialysis machineUse ANTT technique as per Trust protocolAccess vascular access and commenced dialysis treatmentDeliver prescribed IV medication via dialysis machineMonitor patients during treatmentTroubleshoot any alarms during treatmentDiscontinue and disconnect patient at end of dialysisDocument treatment on CyberREN and other Trust systemsClean dialysis area as per Trust protocolCollect monthly blood samplesCheck and report results of monthly blood samplesWork with members of the MDTAudit patient outcomes monthly and discuss with patient and MDT
