Job summary
This full-time post is for a Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry (Specialist Grade), for a fixed term of 12 months. The appointment is with the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is based at Liverpool University Dental Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is expected to have a high level of knowledge and expertise in the field of Paediatric Dentistry and should have an innovative approach to teaching, research and patient care.
The post holder will be expected to have flexibility within their job plan to support the paediatric service as a whole and to support the teaching and training of StR's, DCT's, DCP's, Undergraduate and postgraduate dental students if required.
The post holder is expected to provide treatment under inhalation sedation, with potential to support intravenous sedation and general anaesthetic dependant on experience and service needs.
The post holder will be expected to conduct new patient and treatment activity, to help maintain the Departmental patient activity target and provide clinical cover as and when necessary.
