We are seeking an experienced and visionary nurse leader with theatre and or critical care experience to join us as the Assistant director of nursing for Theatre and Critical Care Care group within the Surgical Division at Aintree Hospital
This pivotal role will support the Trust in delivering great patient care and maintaining our position at the forefront of healthcare excellence. As a forward-thinking and dynamic healthcare provider dedicated to offering the highest standards of care to our patients, service users, and the local community.
As the Assistant Director of Nursing for Theatres and Critical care within Aintree's major trauma centre site you will be responsible for leading and managing the operational nursing function across the division, ensuring that the highest professional standards are maintained at all times. You will work closely with other Divisional Directors, senior managers, operational and clinical staff to ensure patient safety, service efficiency, and the continual development of nursing practices.
Main duties of the job
Accountable to the surgical divisional director of Nursing the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of safe effective care within theatres and critical care in line with the trusts overall strategy.
The assistant director of theatres and critical care will support and lead the clinical teams and act as a role model within the site and being an advocate for our patients families and visitors
The assistant director of theatres and critical care will provide professional and operational leadership and management of the services, delivery a safe quality service while meeting financial targets.
To provide expert advice within critical care and theatre care group and cross covering across the division when required and support site to maintain high standards of quality care. Working closely with others, the assistant director of nursing is responsible & accountable for providing comprehensive & robust professional leadership, guidance, advice, support & direction and as such, will have an opportunity to lead on multi-professional working.
