Job summary

Would you like to develop your pharmacy career and help others develop the future pharmacy workforce in one of the largest teaching hospitals in the country? We have an opportunity for a clinical pharmacist with a passion for education and training to join our team as an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist and Teacher Practitioner. The core part of the role is providing and co-ordinating pharmacy undergraduate clinical teaching working across the Trust and at Liverpool John Moores University. As well as the education commitment you will be able to maintain your clinical pharmacy skills and have care group responsibilities in Elderly care. We are committed to developing the pharmacy workforce and this role is a key part in that. You will have opportunities for your own development and will be supported in your role by our Lead Pharmacist for Education. Candidates must have excellent clinical pharmacy knowledge and be confident teaching.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide and develop undergraduate clinical pharmacy teaching at Liverpool John Moore's University (LJMU).
  • To provide a safe and effective advanced clinical pharmacy service to the directorate of Elderly Care
  • Provide non-medical prescribing services to surgical clinical areas.
  • Assist the Lead Clinical Pharmacist - Education and Training in providing clinical/medicines management training.
