Job summary

This is an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic radiographer to join a large nuclear medicine multidisciplinary team.

The department has 3 gamma cameras, PET/CT and BMD and a wide ranging therapeutic service. Successful applicants will have an opportunity to experience all aspects of our service.

Applicants with no nuclear medicine experience are encouraged to apply as we will support you to gain experience and obtain a post-graduate qualification.

Main duties of the job

To be an effective member of the Nuclear Medicine Team providing a high standard of service to patients and their referrers. To assist in the running and organisation of the Nuclear Workload.

This role will require experience and expertise in Nuclear Medicine Techniques.

To provide a professional standard of communication to all medical, nursing, technical, clerical and ancillary staff

Peform clinical duties in Imaging, Bone density, Administration of thereapeutic isotopes, In-vitro and quantitative studies as delegated by the Superintendant Radiographer, Deputy Superintendent or clinical co-ordinator.

Assist in the running and organisation of the Nuclear Medicine workload.

Carry out Nuclear Medicine procedures to the highest standard, adhering Departmental protocols and paying particular attention to patient identification.

Be proficient in the use of the departmental equipment and to make sure that quality control protocols are always observed. To report any equipment malfunctions or damage as soon as it occurs.

Carry out duties as and when they occur due to new developments within the speciality of Nuclear Medicine
