Job summary
The postholder will work in the Oral Medicine Department at LUDH where the Consultants in Oral Medicine areDr Bijaya Rajlawat (Specialty Lead), Professor Anne Field, Dr Daniel Finn and Dr Caroline McCarthy.
The appointee will be expected to liaise with colleagues in Oral Surgery, Oral Diagnosis and Special Care Dentistry as well as other specialties at LUDH and the Trust.
Main duties of the job
To participate in the Oral Medicine service, including daytime emergency cover and inpatient referrals as required, in conjunction with the senior clinicians.
To participate in quality improvement projects and patient safety initiatives.
The postholder will be expected to engage in their own continuing professional development and to provide continuing dental education for other staff.
Clinical teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students and junior staff
All clinical staff are accountable and responsible for their own clinical competence and should limit their activity to that which is deemed to be within their competence.

The post is that of Locum Specialty Dentist in Oral Medicine (1.0 WTE) fixed-term for 12 months based at Liverpool University Dental Hospital Hosted by Liverpool University Dental Hospital, Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation.
