Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work within patients with a confirmed diagnosis of ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Long Covid.
This is an Outpatient Therapy Team based at Broadgreen Hospital.
This will be a static post.
Main duties of the job
The service supports patients who are referred following a confirmed ME/CFS diagnosis for therapy and from the Cheshire and Merseyside Community Long COVID Services who remain unwell with fatigue and related symptoms.
The service offers a tailored Self-Management programme to assist patients with specialist advice. Therapists deliver group workshops and individual therapy sessions by virtual or face to face methods. Therapy is inline with the guidance of the ME/CFS NICE Guidelines and the Post COVID NICE guidelines.
The team delivering the care includes Consultant Physicians, Service Manager, Specialist Occupational Therapists, Health Psychologist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and our administration team.
Ideally you will have experience of working with people with long term health conditions. This could be both the Physical and Mental Health arenas.
