Job summary
There is an exciting opportunity for a Research Practitioner to work within research teams at the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This will include all LUHFT sites Aintree, the Royal, and Broadgreen.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this post is to provide comprehensive support to the Researchers and the research teams.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform a variety of clinical and clerical research duties within a research environment.
They will co-ordinate clinical trials with support and assist with clinical research interventions.

Essential
- Good general education ie. 3 GCSE's at grade C or above (Or equivalent including English Language)
- Graduate or equivalent level NHS qualification in relevant discipline or equivalent
Desirable
Experience

- Clinical experience/qualification in venepuncture, IV cannulation
- Experience of liaison with staff at all levels in the NHS, Universities and Industry
- Previous research experience and knowledge
- An awareness of the principles and practice of clinical research and/or clinical trials
- An understanding of ethical and quality standards applicable to clinical trials, including EU Directive on ICH GCP requirements
Desirable
- Previous experience in clinical research studies, research projects (protocols and study documentation),
- Skills in the analysis and interpretation of data
- An awareness of the Health Service, R&D, the pharmaceutical industry partnership and relevant information sciences
- An understanding of Research protocols and skills in administration of research and project management.

- Ability to use a personal computer, (computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office)
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Skills for nurturing key relationships and maintaining networks.
