Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic Band 5 nurse to work 37.5 hours per week in the role of Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse on the Acute Cardiac Care Unit on the Aintree Site.
Experience at Band 5 level in Cardiology for a minimum of 3 years would be desirable with an interest in developing and delivering high quality , evidenced based care. In addition to assist the Ward Manager in delivering the Trust's LQA agenda.
The ACCU is an acute 14 bedded monitored ward with the facility for telemetry and haemodynamic monitoring.
Main duties of the job
Assess, plan , implement and evaluate [programmes of evidenced- based nursing care.
Provide management and organisation of a clinical area.
Participate in the education, development and line management of other staff members.
Work collaboratively and co- operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families
Participate in improvement of services and the quality of care provision
Provide developing expert advice and clinical practice in advanced cardiovascular system support.
