We operate a Consultant of the Week system in which 2 consultants each week are rostered to do ward rounds and deal with acute activity at the hub. We run a weekly planning meeting attended by all staff to facilitate management of the acute work.

The twin lists on Friday are designated as urgent lists, with each consultant allocated to 2 all day lists in the 14 week cycle. Cases for these lists are identified by the C1/C2 team from the units pooled Pending List.
