You will join a friendly and dynamic team of Infectious Diseases Physicians and Academics, at a regional specialist centre.
We welcome applications from doctors at different stages of post-graduate training. The salary will be commensurate with experience based on the national junior doctor pay scale (salary range (£29,384 - £58,398).
The role will be tailored according to clinical need, but successful applicants will be offered learning and development opportunities in Infection according to their interests. There will be opportunities to help deliver teaching, and become involved in quality improvement projects.
There will be opportunities to gain experience working in a tertiary centre acting as a regional hub for HIV, TB, Tropical and High Consequence Infectious Diseases. This will include ward work, clinic exposure, and attending teaching and complex MDT meetings.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support patient care on 2 Infectious Diseases Wards, and our General Medicine ward at a level appropriate to their stage of training or career development. This will be supported by educational and clinical supervision.
The post holder would be expected to join our multidisciplinary meetings, for Infection Radiology, TB, and HIV.
The post holder would be welcome to join our educational meetings, including a weekly departmental teaching program, journal and audit club, and monthly regional meetings for TB and HIV. When staffing allows the post holder may be able to attend trust-level educational programmes and an appropriate level.
We would encourage successful applicants to participate in the Hospital Medical on call rota for which appropriate additional renumeration would be provided.
