Healthcare Assistant - Ward 2 Broadgreen Reablement

Job summary

We are looking for someone who is committed to keeping patients as active as possible to prevent de-conditioning and will be able to support therapy in providing reablment to patients.

There will be an opportunity to be involved in developing new services, and bespoke training provided to be able to carry out mobility and functional assessments to support early discharge from hospital.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will carry out clinical duties such as providing personal care, assisting with eating and drinking.

Enabling patients to maintain and improve their mobility through exercise and mobility aides.

Assisting the nursing staff in pressure area care and moving and handling.

Alongside this, the successful candidate will carry out general and clerical duties such as bed cleaning and making. Attending to patients and visitors whilst on the ward.

Answering the ward phone, obtaining patient demographics and notes.
