Job summary
This post holder is responsible and accountable for the management and delivery of patient care and the operational management of areas with the Outpatient Department.
Professional Relationships:
- Members of the Multidisciplinary Team working within the Outpatient Department
- Lead Nurse
- All disciplines of staff within the Trust Agencies outside the Trust
Main duties of the job
- To provide expert clinical care within the clinical area.
- Is responsible and accountable for the continual assessment of care needs.
- To act in a consultative capacity on nursing.
- Facilitate an effective flow of communication within the clinical area.
- Maintain effective, harmonious team dynamics and structure at all times.
- Assist in the development and initiation of clinical policies and practices within the Outpatient Department
- To provide a service working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient treatment of patients.
- Demonstrate the ability to act as an effective change agent within the clinical area
- Ensure trust clinical policies and procedures are adhered to.
- To manage outpatient clinics daily, operationally managing nursing team, including all aspects of Human Resources.
- Liaising with Multidisciplinary teams
