This position is based in the Broadgreen Hospital.
There is the cafe in the main entrance that also has a shop, Alexander cafe across in another wing.
Although training will be given, the post holder will need food preparation experience , they also need customer care, cash handling experience . They will need to up-sell and promote the units
Although we have stated rotas, as it is a new venture there may need to be some flexibility so we cover the needs of the service
This position will primarily be based on the Broadgreen site but you may be expected to work in any of Liverpool University hospitals retail outlets or patient kitchens.
Main duties of the job
Thefollowing Catering Assistant band 2 vacancies have become available at Broad Green Hospital
You will be in one of the many retail units which we run and will be serving staff and visitors.
There will also be a call order menu.
The role involves food preparation, coffee making , kitchen cleaning, customer service & cash handling.
Although the positions are primarily based in the unit advertised, you may be required to work anywhere within the catering department depending on the needs of the service. This may include working on other sites in te retail units or patients food service
IT skills are required for all positions as the Trust does mandatory training and appraisals on line.
