An exciting opportunity is available for a Band 3 Patient Access Clerk (Therapies Clerk) to join our established experienced Therapies Admin Team at LUHFT who are proactive in improving patient and staff experience.
This post offers a breadth of duties including the management of referrals into Therapies, the management of clinical templates and the smooth running of clinics. The post holder also requires flexibility in supporting the wider Therapies Admin Team as required.
Our post holder will be required to have a positive approach to change, be able to problem solve and proactively manage patient and staff queries, and know their own limitations when needing to seek support. You will be working as part of an established team at LUHFT, but also able to use your own initiative. You will be required to have a methodical approach to working with a focus on attention to accurate detail.

The post holder is responsible as part of a team for providing a dedicated andcomprehensive administration service for Therapy Outpatients within the Trust using Partial and Full booking processes. The post holder will act as the first point of contact for all Therapy Outpatient enquiries from internal and external customers at all levels.
Liaise with secretaries and admin departments regarding booking of appointments, referral letters etc. Using PTLs and the PAS system, in chronological order, invite patients and book appointments as appropriate.
Build clinic templates in accordance with Trust procedures as authorised via Patient Access Manager, to include standard clinics, firewall clinics and additional clinics.Support the Team leader/Officer in:- Training of new staff within the department- Development and implementation of new policies and procedures within the Department.- Implementing and meeting national and local initiatives, specificallysupporting referral to treatment targets for patients

Desirable
- Registration with and/or working towards records management or legislative qualification e.g. ISEB, DPA, IHRIM, BCS, Records Management Society etc.

- Experience working with the public/patients
