Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two band 3 HCA's to join our friendly enthusiastic and committed team. The multidisciplinary team covers the Warrington and Halton area providing Integrated Sexual Health and Contraception services under "axess". The post on offer is a permanent position.

Applicants must be able to travel to various locations between Warrington and Halton (Runcorn and Widnes) and be flexible to work a range of early and evening shifts. Position will be based at Runcorn Sexual Health Service in Halton .

Candidates will be considered for a band 3 position if they hold an NVQ level 3 or equivalent, a national care certificate or willingness to undertake this. It is essential to have have extensive IT skills, be a quick learner and ability to adapt to fast paced environments. Good communication skills and venepuncture are also essential criteria's for this role. Previous experience of working within a sexual health / contraception service desirable but is not essential.

We offer a structured induction plan and on-going support using our whole team consisting of an existing HCA team, assistant practitioners, band 6, 7 and 8a specialist nurses, specialist doctors and consultants. We are committed to developing the successful applicant providing support on-going training.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be required to deliver patient care demonstrating professionalism, working within competency and excellent communication skills in all aspects of their work.Flexibility to cover various shifts and locations is essential for the role.
