We are currently recruiting a 12 month fixed term appointment in ENT. The post is based at the Liverpool University Hospital foundation trust.
The Liverpool University Hospital foundation trust is the major teaching hospital in the Merseyside and Cheshire region. The successful applicant will be required for a 12 month fixed term contract to start from August 2023. The post is at registrar level with a timetable based on Mixture of all ENT , laryngology and general services.
LUHFT department consists of 18 ENT consultants, all of whom have developed subspecialist interests & have both a national & international reputation for excellence and innovation within their fields of expertise.

Main duties of the job
Outpatient work is delivered in a new fully equipped ENT outpatient Suite. We have a designated ENT/MFU theatre suite at Aintree with 5 theatres. The department is supported by a state-of-the-art audiological service providing all aspects of audio-vestibular investigations & rehabilitation.
A bi-weekly thyroid MDT & weekly head & neck MDT takes place in a designated video-conference linked MDT room.
LUHFT runs many national & international training courses. The department is committed to both research & audit work and the successful candidate will have access to an enormous amount of clinical outcome data from which they can develop their own research / audit interests under the supervision of a highly productive academic surgical team within the Liverpool Head and Neck Centre.

This post is available from August 2023 for 12 months, fixed-term (full-time or part-time). Aintree University Hospital is the main tertiary referral Hospital for Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales.
The post is aimed at candidates who hold the MRCS(ENT) qualification (or equivalent) and have experience working at this seniority. The post ios intended to extend the candidates surgical and clinical management competency at the Speciality Trainee level.
On call commitments are currently 1:9 prospective night and day time cover. Applicants are required to be fully registered with the General Medical Council.
