Job summary

Do you have research data administration experience? Do you have a passion about healthcare research? Do you want to work for the Clinical Research Network North West Coast? This could be the role for you.

!!!!This role is to support our team which supports sites in Lancashire and South Cumbria so being able to travel to this part of our geography is essential. Although employed by Liverpool University Hospital NHS Trust you will be working in other organisations to support their teams with research studies. !!!!

Main duties of the job

Main duties for this role include,

Development and maintenance of trial / study files.

Receipt and dissemination/management of study documents.

Liaising effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Enter study data from the Case Report Forms (CRF's) into the correct web based systems.

Prompt completion for all study related queries.

Maintain audit trails for future inspection.

Perform regular, systematic checks on the database(s) in order to produce a clean, accurate data set.

Provide secretarial support as required by study team.

Assist with the day to day maintenance of tracking and version logs.

Participate in ongoing training & train others as necessary.

A flexible approach to working as may be required to work as there will be travel between research sites.

Any other duties of a similar nature as requested by the Chief Investigator or Research Nurse.

A friendly approachable persona is necessary for this role. You will be supporting research studies which may need setting up or supporting teams who have staffing issues due to vacancies or sickness. Being able to adapt to different situations and work with different teams will be an asset.

Organisational skills and attention to detail are a must for the successful candidates.

  • Degree or equivalent and specifically i.e. 3 GCSE's at grade C or above (Or equivalent including English Language)

  • Project management certificate / qualification

Experience

  • Experience of managing information and information systems.
  • Experience of data entry and validation techniques and the ability to develop and maintain databases.
  • Demonstrable relevant experience working in a demanding office environment.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and to use own initiative.
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of staff.

Desirable

  • Relevant experience of working in an NHS and/or research environment.
  • Experience in the procurement of goods and services.
