Job summary
Applications are invited for two Academic Research Fellowship posts at the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The posts are available for 12 months from August 2023 to August 2024.
You will join a multi award winning clinical academic department, which will provide a supportive environment to develop both clinically and academically.
The post will include 3 clinical days to be undertaken at the Liverpool Univeersity Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and 2 academic days to be undertaken at the University of Liverpool.
In addition to the clinical appointment at the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Trauma and Orthopaedic Department the post will also consist of a honorary appointment to the University of Liverpool.
Main duties of the job
You will undertake internationally regarded research with the benefit of senior academic support and may involve making grant applications and ethics proposals. During the post you will be expected to complete research and to prepare such research for presentaion and publication.
The post will provide independent mentoring on career progression. Research could include, but is not limited to, NIHR funded multicentre RCT's, major trauma outcomes, gait analysis, movement analysis, patient related outcome measure scoring and the possiblility of basic science research at the University of Liverpool.
