Job summary
Will support the trained nursing staff in the delivery of care patients andcontribute to the maintenance of the care environment within our Learning Disability Inpatient Assessment and Treatment Unit.
Main duties of the job
To assist in basic care and assessment of the patient as support to, andunder the supervision of, a registered nurse/senior support staff.
To follow individualised care and therapeutic programmes for patients under the instruction of the nursing staff/senior support staff.
To provide support to patients with their personal care.
To contribute to the patients plan of treatment by communicating anyobservations of patients behaviours to the Care co-ordinator or nurse-in charge during periods of duty
To work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to promote qualitycare.
