Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a band 5 Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and complement our expanding Occupational Therapy Team . We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who has a passion for mental health, is highly motivated and enthusiastic. You will be part of a dynamic, supportive and diverse multi-disciplinary team. You will receive regular supervision with opportunities to develop clinical and professional practice in line with service user and organisational values.

We encourage final year Occupational Therapy students and return to practice individual's to apply.

Main duties of the job

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist, preferably with experience of working with service users with mental health difficulties. You will be responsible for managing a set caseload and be a key member of the team in groupwork delivery. You will have a knowledge of Occupational Therapy theory, utilising a variety of OT interventions and implementing this theory into practice.

There will be an expectation to contribute to the Occupational Therapy service delivery, supervision of the Support Time Recovery Workers (STR) and supervising Occupational Therapy students.

In the wider trust there is an opportunity to deliver training and CPD to others.
