Wolverhampton Talking Therapies offers interventions for Depression and anxiety disorders. As a service we consistently excel with above average moving to recovery rates, positive client feedback and exceptionally high job satisfaction from our team. We are currently looking to appoint a Duty Coordinator to provide support and guidance, to the clinical and admin team.

Excellent, organisational and communication skills are essential, with the ability to work well under pressure. You must be a team player and able to cope with conflicting demands. You will have the ability to use your own initiative, possess problem solving skills and you must be professional and flexible where required. You must possess excellent attention to detail, have a working knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality, plus the confidence to work efficiently and competently.

If you enjoy a challenge and feel you have the necessary skills to contribute to our friendly team, we would like to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

As Duty Coordinator, you will accept referrals into the service and make decisions on the suitability of those referrals. Establishing a pathway for referrers and patients, you will act as a point of contact for external professionals and service users when they are seeking help or advice.

The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the development and maintenance of the service and meet performance standards for output and clinical outcomes.

The Duty Coordinator is not expected to carry a caseload of clients, and will instead support staff to work with IAPT-appropriate cases for which they have received suitable training. The post is suitable for Mental Health practitioners from multiple professions (e.g. Nursing, Mental Health Therapists, Psychology).
