Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) to work with The Health facilitation Team based within the Dudley Learning Disability Specialist Health Services at the Ridge Hill Centre.
The post holder will be expected to have a good understanding and knowledge of the health inequalities faced by people with Learning Disabilities and clear knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2008. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a good understanding of health promotion and be able to support team when facilitating health promotion events.The post holder will be expected to be able to plan and deliver relevant training and education to families and social care staff.
This role necessitates the post-holder to be car driver.

Main duties of the job
You will work in a range of settings in partnership with people with learning disabilities, carers, primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare teams, the integrated care board (ICB) and with the wider learning disability teams to explore, develop and recommend ways of identifying and improving the health needs of people with learning disabilities. You will contribute to the provision of training, guidance and support in relation to health improvement and will have a thorough understanding of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Equality Act (2010
