Job summary
The Black Country Recovery College are looking to recruit a Lead Facilitator that will support the design and deliver Recovery College classes across the College network, all aspects of class coordination and planning and the continued development of the Recovery College curriculum. The candidate would need to hold a Level 3 Diploma/NVQ level 3 qualification or above, in either education, health and social care or vocational and demonstrable supervisory or leadership experience in a mental health or recovery training or group work role. Post holder will be required to work across the Black Country from Recovery College bases and community venues.
The role will require an understanding of learning styles and facilitation methods, knowledge of the ethos of personal recovery and Recovery Colleges in general and area/s of interest and experience that will support the Recovery College curriculum including the arts, wellbeing, gardening, digital skills, literacy and numeracy.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include working with and supervising co producers, facilitators and co facilitators to review, design and deliver high quality classes and activities, coordinate all College activity including arranging facilitator cover, arranging delivery dates, venue's and liaising with external partners. Further duties include, developing high quality, engaging and relevant supporting, documentation for classes and other activities, support the continued collection and interpretation of student outcome and feedback data and actively participate in the curriculum development processes which will involve evaluating course provision, identifying educational needs, gaps, and pathways, and proposing creatives ways to address these.
