The Black Country Healthcare Foundation Trust Catering Department provides a wide range of food related services across various in-patient and community sites in and around Sandwell, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Walsall.
The Catering Department at Heath Lane Hospital requires a customer focused catering assistant to work in our patient catering department and restaurant. Duties will include the preparation and serving of in-patient meals and beverages across the hospital or working in our patient, staff and visitor restaurant. Duties will also include cleaning, cash handling and an element of paperwork in relation to local HACCP.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills and able to work independently as well as part of a very busy team. You must be able to follow and adhere to CQC, environmental health, catering and trust legislation and standards, at all times.You will be responsible for ensuring departmental HACCP and COSHH are adhered to and paperwork is complete. The candidate must be able work to under pressure, be self-motivated, customer focused. Knowledge of Food safety is essential, mandatory training will be given on induction.
