Job summary
An exciting opportunity for Registered Mental Health Nurses with an interest in providing high quality care to Working Age Adults with mental health needs, in a specialist inpatient setting. Dale and Brook Wards, based at Penn Hospital, are purpose built units designed to meet the mental health needs of, female and male working aged adults who require inpatient admission using a person centred approach to care. The multi-disciplinary team is made up of nurses, medics, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social worker and psychologist.

We place a high value on continuing professional development, including funded programmes, and within the dedicated working aged adults division have a number of available career pathways as a result of the large expansion of services in line with the national Community Transformation programme.
Main duties of the job
- Care planning and evaluation in collaboration with the patient and/or their carers and working in a named nurse capacity.
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Flexibility and problem solving.
- Developing meaningful therapeutic relationships with patients and/or their carers as part of the named nurse role.
- Working as part of team while also using own initiative when necessary.
- Working in the role of Nurse in Charge of shifts; delegating and coordinating shifts.
