Vacancies have arisen for Health Visitors who are truly passionate about making a difference and giving every child the best possible start in life. This is a wonderful time to be joining our Service as we undertake a review, transforming the future into a Model of an Integrated Children's service. Furthermore, as a Health Visitor in Dudley you will be supported in your development and valued in making your individual contribution to the service. Newly qualified Health Visitors will receive a robust preceptorship programme and an aligned mentor. All Health Visitors will receive an induction programme to settle into the service and ongoing regular supervision support.
Main duties of the job
The Dudley borough, whilst not geographically vast - provides a very diverse mix of communities - ranging from affluent to socially deprived, and is an area that provides an excellent experience for Health Visitors, particularly if you wish to develop specialist interests.
The post holder will be responsible for assessing the needs of the local population and delivering health promotion services to promote health & well-being and prevent ill health amongst Children, Young People & Families.
You will work as part of one of the 5 teams in Dudley, consisting of a Team Lead, Health Visitors, Community Nurses & Nursery Nurses. This is where you will be supported whilst working within a corporate caseload, as well as in partnership with the newly developed Family Hubs to drive forward the national agenda.
