Job summary
The post holder will assist healthcare professionals across the Trust to deliver safer care through an
understanding of the effects of teamwork, tasks, equipment, workspace, culture and organisation on human behaviour and identify contributory factors when incidents occur and make recommendations for systemic improvements.
The post holder will work closely with other members of the safety team and the Quality Governance Team. Remote working is available.
This is a 3 year post, with the potential to extend for 2 years, depending on performance.
Main duties of the job
You will act as a champion for Patient Safety, providing expert knowledge and capability to contribute to safer health care.
You will lead a team of patient safety investigators.
You will be responsible for driving the culture, and operational delivery of safety initiatives to prevent harm. You will foster a learning culture.
